When an ADHDer enters a second-hand store which also sells books 📚😁 Lol, who could've resisted buying a pack of them for the price of ONE book? I tell ya.

At the top:

🟡 Two books by Douglas Copland, a very special writer in my life and a very prolific one. Never read these two, so bought them immediately.

🟡 The last published novel (2022) by Mr. McCarthy. I looked for "Blood Meridian" specifically, but they only got "The Passenger". I hesitated for a bit, but then scrolled through a couple of reviews on Goodreads. A PAGETURNER, but about a schizophrenic who's mourning his dead sister whom he was in love with and who was a transperson? Say no more, I'm sold.

At the bottom:

🟢 The 100-year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared - way back, in the previous life, when I couldn't read/speak/write in English, when I would search for the "best fiction books for English learners", this one was always in the top-3 recommended. I've read many other books since, but never got through this one. Time to get closure.

🟢 World War Z - the opposite story; back in the day, I read it in Russian and liked it a lot. I've never been a fan of the Zombie genre, but I liked the book for its angle (angleS, even?). I think it might be riveting to get through different tones of voice in English now.

🟢 The curios incident of the dog in the night-time - never heard of it, but was immediately sold after some googling. A book about an autistic person written by an author who worked a lot with children with ASD. While I'm in the middle of writing a book with the neurodivergent main character. BINGO.
